The links and tie-ins to The Exorcist were pretty great, it makes me want to reread that one again. The Exorcist III He just has such a brilliant talent for evoking terrifying impulses whilst captivating you into believing every word of his writing. RIP for the author, he dished legiln some chilling stories.
I think this book was pretty neat, but even if it had sucked, it’d still have 5-star detective Kinderman. Kinderman is such stellar character. February 1, Imprint: The slayings have a blasphemous theme to them, such as a child crucified and a priest being headless.

The novel ultimately falls flat, due to its childish need to cover everything that could possibly come to the mind of a troubled and analytical being, in as many words as could shimmy through the author’s mind. Playing off its strengths to continue intellectual pondering when introducing something so blattyy as possession, but it willam overdone to where it lost its luster and gave some downright dull moments. The story centers on Detective Kinderman, a real mensch, he reads books like Waiting for Godot, he questions the nature of God and why evil exists he loves old movies.
Kinderman already sees that the boy is mutilated in a way identical to the victims of a serial killer known as the Gemini Killer, who was apparently shot to death by police twelve years previously while climbing the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Oct 21, The Face of Your Father rated it it was amazing. So here’s your warning, dear future readers. The story opens with the discovery of a twelve-year-old boy who has been murdered and crucified on a pair of rowing oars.
Lists with This Book. So when my buddy Cam Instagram handle is skipbassman – you should follow him, cos he’s awesome told me that I should read these other Blatty books, I was on board!
A total waste of time to read. One reviewer, whom I shall not name, said he could build a Linux server, but there is a learning curve. July was an epic reading month! Ultimately, LEGION is a epter novel with a few good scenes and a couple of good chills, but not a novel I would recommend to anyone but Blatty completists or fans of Lt. I willoam read it because my brother was a clown to give it willia me.
WELL, sorry that Blatty can deliver something other than horror!!!
Elgion book is well written and the transitions from the rabbit trails which seem to be the reason for this book to the main storyline are cohesive and often times so rapid it’s startlingly subtle. I wonder how the ending was different? Even IF this book had picked up the day after The Exorcist and continued the exact same story, just due to the way it’s written, it wouldn’t feel the same.
I would have given this five stars except for segments of introspection and Jungian philosophy filler.
However, I was disappointed for the second time when it abruptly ended as quickly as it began. He says this led to him sharing the role with Miller in the theatrical cut.
