This is my iudith time reading it in fact. I read this book many years ago, and I had this on my list to re read, and since my library didn’t drea,s it any longer, I decided I would need to buy it and well worth it in the end!! As a result, the two girls were entirely devoted to each other, and tried to protect one another as much as possible from the inevitable results of each other’s shortcomings. Upon joining together in unholy matrimony, Royce and Jenny view their alliance as more battle than bliss.
Her reaction to his punishment is astonishing to him, and his admiration grows into something more.
