Open Preview See a Problem? I have to say I liked this book better than the first one.
The “romance” is essentially a guy raping a girl and she’s so lonely that she welcomes any social interaction she can find. In the end I just couldn’t work up the enthusiasm to finish this book.
I liked how their chemistry worked, I’m not into submission but it seemed to work for them not to mention the “love scenes” were pretty steamy. Leaving Ashla in a coma and trapped in shadows cape, what is shadowscape? Submissive, easily ctonrolledtoo damn sweet and gentle for words.
I loved Nicoya being the baddie and liked her bringing Arcadian back as the main heavy. The two get off to a less than stellar start when she saves his life, and he inadvertently hurts her feelings. If you get what I mean. He finds this one enticing.
Ecstasy (Shadowdwellers, book 1) by Jacquelyn Frank
But treachery runs hot in Sanctuary, and Dae is targeted from day one, just to hurt Marcus. For one who has lived as long as he, her existence would have been enough of a puzzle, but when she heals him from a mortal wound, he finds himself drawn to her The story then becomes an education in shadow dweller, their customs and beliefs, and a look into the political war of their world. When Trace or Eden were overly thinking things and rambling on in their heads is when I would lose interest.
This is one terrific series, and Pleasure, the third book, is out next month. She Was The Ultimate Temptation Magnus is a man of contradictions–a spiritual leader in a warrior’s body. I have no idea why I have waited so long to read the second book in this series, as I loved the first one so much. Magnus doesnt want to replace her but when Drenna sends him dreams that shows the situation becomming more and more dire for everyone the longer he waits I started the Shadowdwellers series and I have to say, they just keep getting better and better.
Women and men and only when they know how to they’ll be considered ‘adult’. They are put through rigorous training in She had such an awful childhood because her mother thought that she was the spawn of the devil.
I think the book would easily be half as thick without the long journey to sex Marcus and Dae have. And the special guest star appearance of Gideon from the “Nightwalker” series had me laughing out loud. I may go back and try one of her Nightwalker novels. Trending Price New. You teased me, Jacqkelyn.
To start with I can’t seem to move past the image I created of Magnus the male lead in Ecstasy the fraank of the Shadowdeweller series. When he’s first introduced, he’s in the middle of a battle, like, with actual swords!
One thing which did confuse me was villain behavior. Therefore I had Rapture and Pleasure on my list to read in April. Yet for Magnus, the head priest of Sanctuary, salvation rests with the one woman who can entice him to break every rule. They are very sensual, and extremely sensitive to light of any kind. Dec 11, Rita Lo rated it did not like fank. Then by page sixty, I couldn’t seam to keep frani eyes open to finish it because it was so unbelievable slow.
REVIEW: Ecstasy by Jacquelyn Frank
Magnus is a spiritual leader who, even though its permitted, has not had any kind of intimate relations in a long time. The way the books written, its very enticing. Shes gourgous and hot, and test Mangus limits. The world was new and intreguing. The only reason why this book has any stars at all is because Trace is in it through for only a few pages and Ashla is only mentioned. So, I’ll call it one of my ecshasy pleasure reads and be comfortable with the knowledge that I’m not the only one who liked it.
Book review: Jacquelyn Frank’s *Ecstasy (The Shadowdwellers)*
Jacqjelyn second book in the Shadowdweller series is not as strong as the first. Counselling their rulers also takes a lot of his time, but it is an important part of his job as well.
Dear Diary, today I was sitting in my castle, everything was dark, because I’m a ‘Dweller and – wow, I just noticed that rhymes with cellar and cellars are always dark, right? I couldn’t even finish that one because I didn’t recognize the character anymore and couldn’t stand the heroine. Wrought with misunderstandings between Ashland and Trace, of omission and jumping to conclusions. Who doesnt even tell him to stop, she just lets it happen.
The best part, unfortunately, was Gideon’s cameo. This book is about a women who has been enslaved for the past eight ecstasyy.
