The ending was done well, the Espresso Bandit meets his match, but I didn’t like Maddie’s misplaced sediments towards Gabe after. Their blossoming love is stevejs to see happening.

Gabe’s known as a love ’em and leave ’em type, never staying with one woman for very long, and never having a serious relationship. It centered around Madison and Gabriel with their story being sweet and hot. I love a strong confident female character that’s not afraid to go after what she wants. He wanted her with him so he could protect her and keep her from dangerkus. They really get to know one another and talk about things no one else knows.

I enjoyed Gabe and Maddie’s romance! I want a Gabe: She buried her head against his chest. How will their enforce confinement end, Sexy cop Gabriel Martinez’s new mission is catching the Espresso Bandit, a violent guy who is breaking into coffee shops.

I liked her, but she was the one in pursuit of Gabe.

Having Gabe in bed with her would be a major temptation to attempt to seduce him again. He now knows where she lives. And the heroine too, I got pissed off a lot at her childish attitude. Quotes from Dangerous Grounds.

Dangerous Grounds Quotes

Her new coffee shop Attacked danterous thief-murderer Cop friend protects her They screw like bunnies Inconsistent characters But very nice plot. I was disappointed in this one, I did not like Madison. It had some steamy love scenes and some great banter between the MCs. One of my biggest pet peeves in romance is when one of the main characters doesn’t take “No” for an answer. He’s dedicated himself to his family and friends. And once they get to Whidbey Island, it’s clear that they were made for each other, even if they are each reluctant to admit it.

He was 6 years older than her and when he recognized Maddie as a grown, beautiful woman he fought hard with himself to keep his hands off her–for the sake of his friendship shelll Eric. A LOT of sex. Neither are virgins There is slight OW drama view spoiler [ Maddie and Gabriel at first decide to keep their friends with benefits relationship a secret. I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review Trade Paperbackpages.

It lacks the drama.

Now, don’t get me wrong. It might have got better, I don’t know,I just didn’t like the female lead enough to even try. I stay with them until they get to their conclusion with me getting a wonderful read. Want to Read Currently Reading Read. Look forward to read more. Dangerous Grounds / Grounds for Seduction by Shelli Stevens – FictionDB

It grounfs kind of ended abruptly. Gabe whisks her into hiding for her own protection, but soon finds his heart is under assault by the luscious and persistent Madison. I loved the fact that as Gabriel’s best friend and Maddie’s older brother, Eric didn’t pull the usual stunt about warning his best friend from his sister.

But tbh, too many of these rolling my eyes moment over Maddie in the first chapter alone, made it a DNF. He even had a moving backstory that comes to light in shellli second half of the book.

But things aren’t going exactly as planned. They open up to each other like they’ve never done with anyone before, talking and revealing things about themselves that nobody else knows.
